Passionate, dedicated, and loving, Bloom therapists love their work and it shows in everything they do. Our goal is to make a positive difference on young children and families who come to the center. We are honored to have one of the most exceptional teams in the industry; well-educated and trained, extremely friendly, honest and sincere. Each therapist goes through a comprehensive training including about 70 hours of theoretical training and hundreds of supervised practicum hours, ensuring that the entire staff has extensive experience in early intervention and behavior analytic strategies.

Meryt Tawfilis, MA, BCBA
Founder & Clinical Director
Meryt is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master's degree in Special Education and ABA from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor in Psychology from the American University in Cairo. With a passion for teaching and helping special children, Meryt has provided behavior analytic services to more than a hundred children with Autism and other developmental disabilities, focusing on early intervention and teaching communication skills to non-vocal children. She has also consulted for multiple centers, nurseries and schools in Egypt and Arab countries, as well as virtually teaching hundreds of professionals around the Arab world. Meryt is also PEAK level 1 certified, and can speak in Makaton (level 1 & 2).

Dr. Eqab El-Badarneh, OTD
Occupational Therapy Department Head
Dr. Eqab Al-Badarneh is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), founder of OTservice, and one of the leading figures in sensory integration and neurodevelopmental rehabilitation in the Middle East. With over 16 years of experience, he has helped hundreds of children and adults strengthen their sensory, motor, and emotional foundations to thrive in their daily lives. Dr. Eqab is certified in Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) from the University of Southern California, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), The Listening Program (TLP), and DIR/Floortime. He is also certified in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) from University College London. A licensed occupational therapist under both the UAE Ministry of Health and Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Eqab has served as Director of Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Community Development, where he led the creation of Mo’een Center for Assistive Technology. He also held senior clinical roles at Sanad Village Rehabilitation Center and ABLE UK Center in Dubai Healthcare City. Throughout his career, Dr. Eqab has been recognized for his innovation and impact—winning the Prince Haya Award for Outstanding Occupational Therapist and the Al-Namoos Award from the UAE Ministry of Community Development. He is also a keynote speaker at regional and international conferences, actively raising awareness about sensory integration and assistive technology through media appearances and professional training programs. When it comes to understanding how the brain, body, and environment connect, Dr. Eqab transforms science into life-changing therapy.

Mirna Tawfilis, MSc
Child & Adolescent Mental Health Specialist
Mirna is a child and adolescent mental health with a Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Mental wellbeing from Anglia Ruskin University. As a mother of two, she has always been passionate about helping teenagers through the critical transitional period from childhood to adulthood. Mirna has a decade of experience counseling and mentoring teenagers in sports camps, as well as working with students with special abilities at the American University in Cairo. She has also coached multiple families of children with different abilities during their university years.

Ola ElHariri, SLT, RBT
Speech & Language Department Head
Ola is a bilingual speech and language therapist and Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Level 2 certified practitioner. She earned her a Bachelor’s degree in Phonetics and linguistics from Alexandria University followed by a Diploma in Education. Not only that, but She is also a registered behavior technician, which makes her also well-rounded in ABA besides her primary area of specialty. Ola has been practicing for over 10 years and has worked with individuals with speech and language disorders including pragmatic language disorders, disfluency, receptive & expressive language disorders, and oral-motor functioning disorders. She is also experienced in teaching social skills and augmentative and alternative communication, both in group and one-on-one settings.

Rowaida AlHamzi, QASP-S, RBT
Senior Behavior Therapist
Rowaida is a Qualified Autism Service Practitioner - Supervisor (QASP-S) & Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with over 5 years experience in the field of child development, behavior therapy, and early childhood education. She is very passionate about giving every child space for expressing themselves in the way they see fit, and teaching them ways to navigate the complex world we live in. When it comes to mixing fun with therapy, Rowaida has no competition.

Asmaa Rabea, QASP-S, RBT
Senior Behavior Therapist
Asmaa is a Qualified Autism Services Practitioner-Supervisor (QASP-S), a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®), and a Behavior Therapist with a Special Diploma in Education. She is passionate about helping children with developmental and intellectual disabilities reach their full potential. Utilizing evidence-based practices like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Asmaa tailors programs to meet each child’s unique needs. Her mission is to empower children and support their families, fostering growth in a positive and engaging environment. When it comes to calm and gentleness, no one can do it like Asmaa can.

Jana Radwan
Behavior Therapist
Jana is a Psychology graduate from Coventry University, devoted to helping children flourish through hands-on, creative strategies — from play and art to interactive methods — so each session feels meaningful, empowering, and joyful. Since her 3rd year of University, Jana has worked with children aged 2 to 7 from diverse cultural and developmental backgrounds, managing multiple cases and designing treatment plans that fit each child’s unique needs. She believes strong collaboration with families is essential, making sure parents and caregivers are true partners and that therapeutic strategies carry over into everyday life at home. Jana is about to start her Master’s in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology in Sheffield University, where she’ll expand her work to include prenatal consultations. Her aim is to support families from the very beginning, helping build secure, healthy attachments. Building meaningful relationships with child is at the heart of Jana's work.

Joumana Ashraf
Behavior Therapist
Joumana is a Psychology graduate from Coventry University who works closely with neurodivergent children. Her sessions focus on communication, behavior, and everyday life skills, all delivered with patience, compassion, and a deep respect for each child’s unique needs and strengths. She designs engaging, meaningful sessions that help children build confidence and make steady progress toward their goals. Passionate about her work, Joumana feels privileged to be part of each child’s journey. Building trust with both children and their families is at the heart of her practice, and she is committed to making a positive, lasting impact through every interaction. Known for her balance of fun and firmness, she sets clear expectations in a supportive way — helping children learn to cooperate while still enjoying the process.

Ahmed Al-Ashry, QASP-S
Behavior Therapist
Ahmed is a Qualified Autism Service Provider – Supervisor (QASP-S) with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Sciences, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has a particular passion for working with toddlers and supporting children with challenging behaviors. Ahmed focuses on teaching socially-significant behaviors like cooperation, engagement, and communication, equipping children with the tools they need to and thrive in their daily lives. Throw in any ABA term, and test his knowledge, Ahmed knows it inside out!

Muhammed Saied
Behavior Therapist
Muhammed has a Bachelor’s and Special Diploma in Intellectual Disability from Zagazig University. He is committed to helping individuals with developmental disorders thrive through evidence-based behavior therapy and individualized support. He has hands-on experience delivering ABA services in school, center, and and home settings. With a solid background in speech and a Hanen certification in “It Takes Two to Talk”, he brings a communication-focused approach to his work with children. Muhammed doesn't spare a moment without diving into any ABA-related book!

Eslam Salah
Behavior Therapist
Eslam is a graduate of the Faculty of Disability and Rehabilitation Sciences at Zagazig University, with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder. His passion for understanding and supporting individuals with autism inspired him to pursue this field. Known for his calm and gentle approach, Islam is especially well-suited to working with younger children and those who may have had challenging experiences in the past. His patience and warmth help create a safe, supportive environment where children can feel comfortable and begin to thrive. And if you’ve ever watched him tell a story — you’ll know it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.

Ali Ragab, ABAT
Behavior Therapist
Ali is an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) with a degree in Special Needs Sciences from Beni-Suef University. He has experience working in different settings with children of various ages and developmental needs. He is extremely calm and composed with children and can handle challenging situations with confidence and care. He is passionate about helping children grow and communicate, and always aims to learn more and reach more children through his work. He might seem serious at first, but there’s plenty of fun behind that look

Esraa Taha
Behavior Therapist
Esraa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University. She began her career as a psychologist but soon discovered her true passion — working with children. For Esraa, the most rewarding part of the job is being part of each child’s journey, witnessing their growth, and celebrating every milestone along the way. Esraa is all or taking on new challenges — though she might complain about it just a little!

Ola Muhammad
Speech & Language Therapist
Ola holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Tanta. She is a Speech and Language Therapist and an Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) specialist (Level 1). With her background in both special education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Ola skillfully integrates knowledge from these fields, allowing her to effectively support children with a wide range of needs, especially those who present with challenging behaviors. When she isn’t busy creating conversations with children, Ola enjoys exploring Cairo in search of its next great hangout spot.

Naira Ibrahim, ABAT
Speech & Language Therapist
Naira is a Speech and Language Therapist and Oral Placement Therapy (Level1) specialist dedicated to helping children develop their communication and language skills. She is also certified as an ABAT (Applied Behavior Analysis Technician) which enables her to integrate behavioral and oral-motor approaches to deliver effective, evidence-based therapy. She has extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of speech and language difficulties, with particular expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Naira’s philosophy is that therapy should always be fun, interactive, and engaging—because when children are happy and motivated, they make their greatest progress. For Naira, speech therapy is more than a profession—it is her true passion. She is committed to creating supportive, playful, and motivating sessions that empower every child to reach their full communication potential. If you want to experience tears, laughter, and a little bit of panic all at once, just spend some time watching Naira in action.

Arwa Ahmed
Speech & Language Therapist
Arwa is a Speech and Language Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Disability Sciences and Rehabilitation from Zagazig University. She has experience working with children with language delays, apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, and social communication difficulties. Arwa brings a calm and creative approach to therapy. She uses each child’s strengths and interests to guide sessions, helping them feel comfortable while making real progress. Her goal is always to create an environment where children feel safe, motivated, and proud of what they achieve Take a five-minute walk on the top floor and you’ll quickly hear the most familiar call: “Where is Arwa?”—because some kids just never stop asking.

Zalabya
Comfort & Entertainment Dog
Zalabya is a half-blind puppy adopted by Bloom. She is very friendly with children and is available at the center on demand for children who need to enhance their awareness of other creatures, and parents who need an emotional support pet (staff too!)
